Hi all๐๐ป♀️ I thought it was time to get back here before the month ran out. I have a finish, progress, and a new start.
First of all, thanks to Carol, Gracie, and DJ for commenting.
Well, let's look at what I've been doing.
Shortly after my last post, I started a freebie from Plum Street Samplers and finished it. Huzzah!
On a scrap of 36ct linen using DMCs. He's cute! Here is where the title of my post comes in. I didn't have 3 DMCs. I looked through all my WIPs, kitted, projects, no such luck. So I ordered DMC from 123stitch! Never in the 29 or 30 years of stitching have I ever had to order DMC from another source. Haha. Way way back in the 90s, we had a Ben Franklin store nearby with a needlework section. I still have a few Week's Dye Works floss from there too. After the store closed, I started going to Joanne's clear across the town. I've always had a store nearby with DMC. So it's been a first!
Next time I drive back up to where I'm from, I'll need to bring my list of DMCs with me since there's a Hobby Lobby there!
After Huzzah! I picked up this WIP
I extended the bottom vine, stitched in the green and red sprigs, and stitched the word 'bright'. There are snowflakes scattered about too. It's now at the halfway point.
Then, just this morning I decided to start something new. Spring Green by Blackbird Designs and found in the Ooh La La book...
This has been kitted for at least a year! After I press publish, I'll start it.
I now have about 4 or 5 Patriotic finishes that I need to FFO before the 4th. The finishing bug is still ignoring me though! So I'm hoping that I'll get some inspiration from seeing some finishing being done by bloggers. Fingers crossed!
That's it for the stitching.
My new job is going well. This will definitely be my very last full time job for the rest of my life. I've decided to retire sometime this year. I have a couple of questions to ask though before I actually hit the button. So stay tuned๐
While I was at work I saw this pretty tree. I have no idea what it is but take a look..
It obviously likes the heat! Here's a close up..
So pretty!
Speaking of the heat! It's been pretty warm. This coming week though it's supposed to get to 105. I now have AC so it's been nice. My kitties are comfortable. The thing about the heat is you go from your home AC to your car AC! Then into the AC inside your work or store! You also do things before it heats up.
While I'm stitching I'm watching Landman on Paramount and it's pretty good. I started watching Turn also, the show about events leading up to the Revolutionary War. It's all good watching.
Alrighty! I may be back before the month is out, hopefully with some patriotic finishes.
Take care, see you soon!

I believe the pretty tree is a crepe myrtle! Love your stitching!
