Secret Stitching Sweetheart

I am a bit late due to technical difficulties and working too much! But here I am.

Here's the photo from my secret stitching sweetheart! How adorable! I'm looking forward to who she/he might be! Meanwhile I will go off looking to see who received my photo after work tonight.

Happy Belated Valentines Day!!

Continued..

Good morning everyone! I am home from work due some leg problems and thought I'd post more WIPs for the parade.

First. Vicki wants to know how many bday SAL starts I had. I had 16! 40 to go, haha! Putting it that way, wow, that is a lot of new starts. My last post showed the last of the bday new starts and it felt good to announce the end. I am now happily stitching on Merry Mouse!

I wasn't able to watch the Oscar's but did get to see later what some of the women were wearing and I thought Scarlett Johanson had the best dress.

Parade..
Song of the Seasons by LHN. Sorry for the wrinkles. Right below the houses, and
there will be another on the right side, is an alphabet and then flowers like the one
above the house area. I plan to stitch just the alphabet and call it done. I'm not sure
when it was released and when I started it.

I Bring Thee Joy by Pineberry Lane. That row of stitches is all I still have!

These Is My Words by LHN. I believe I have 1 more row below Sarah standing
there and it's an alphabet.

Winter at Beacon Hill, found in a JCS magazine and designed by
Praiseworthy Stitches. This is my biggest WIP, 19 inches across.
I'm not even at the halfway point! Next to the two girls above the dog are
the beginnings of a lighthouse. I'll have to carve out some time to
really get it to the halfway point.

A Bee in Your Bonnet by Summerhouse Stitchworkes. It's too pretty to abandon.
I thought I had lost all the floss for this but what think I did was I found the bag
all the floss was in and not knowing it belonged to this WIP, put it all back into
my stash. I found most of the floss the other day and just might get back to it after
I finish Merry Mouse.

Well, this is it until next time. I have fooled Blogger, bwahaha! So I'll stop
while I'm ahead. I have a few more WIPs to show and I'll do that over the
weekend. I joined the Valentine's Day Bloghop that Jo is hosting so I'll be
back on Friday!

Have an excellent stitchy Wednesday!

SALing and parading

Hi all! Anyone watching the Oscars tonight? I'm going to try because I have a digital antenna and I don't get all the channels. I haven't watched the Oscars since 2015 because of all the political comments. I just want to watch for the dresses, the movies and what they're about, and who wins.

This is a two fer one post. I have two bday SAL starts and here they are..
Merry Mouse by With Thy Needle and Thread. I bought it as a kit when it came out
in 2015 and I'm just now stitching it! I'm not sure what fabric I'm using but
it's not 40ct so it'll be a little big. I have since stitched more on it. Here is what it
should look like..

And here is my second start..
This is a Sampler Girl design found in the Gift of Stitching, an e-magazine that
is no longer offered anywhere. I bought 5 or 6 downloads that were being
sold on etsy by the owner of the magazine. Here's how it looks..
I'm not sure of the name of this but the colors attracted me. I'm stitching it
on a 32ct antique linen.

Since Blogger is doing its thing, I'll keep the WIP parade short..
Christmas Garden by Blackbird Designs. I'm a little past the halfway point.
I would really like to make this a finish before Christmas this year.

Next is Frosty Forest by LHN I think!
Another one that I should try to finish this year.

Okey doke, that's it. I'm going to stitch more on Merry Mouse because I love it.

I think this might be the end of my bday SAL. MY WIPs have really been yelling
at me and I'm listening!

We have a storm rolling in in the next couple days so byebye 50 degree temps!

Thanks for stopping by!

Parade time!

Here we go! I'll try to put up as many as I can until Blogger goes crazy. First up..
I don't even remember the name of this! I lost the magazine this pattern was in.
It's a BH&G Christmas issue, I remember that much. It's on 14ct Linaida, any of you
remember that fabric? There are more motifs on it and it will be a mitten
made up like a stocking with cording. I'll have to search for the magazine.

Whenever I get back to this, I may leave off the date and the border. You
can find this designer on etsy.

A freebie. I stopped stitching because I thought my two strands of
floss was too bulky but then I tried 1 over and it looks too thin! I
may have to restart on something else.

Beau Leggy in the Desert by Ink Circles. Really, all I have left to stitch is
his legs and a cactus under his legs.

By The Sampler Girl.

I bought this PDF after stitching Christmas ornament after ornament.
I thought I needed some variety and something quirky. That moon though is
all confetti! I'm doing it on a PTP fabric.

Dear House by La D Da, at the halfway point.

That's all for now!

Post

Post it is! I'm just not very title creative tonight!

Does anyone here like football? I like 3 teams-Arizona Cardinals, the 49ers, and Steelers. Been a Steeler fan since I was 12 and 49ers from the Montana/Young years. I'm so happy to have a fave team in the big show tomorrow! For sentimental reasons, it would be nice to see the Chiefs get the trophy.

Well...I'm starting to feel the bday SAL excitement beginning to wane. Yep. When it comes to stitching, I don't stick with a plan very long. I did stay with my SAL for a month though! I've been taking pictures of my WIPs for the parade and thinking I'd like to get to some WIP stitching. We'll see what happens.

Alright, enough talking! Here's my next new start..
By The Little Stitcher. She has a couple more designs in this Legends For Halloween series.
I have one more plus more of her designs to stitch. Just like SubRosa. They hang around in
my PDF file on my iPad, out of sight out of mind.

That was the last of my SAL stitching!

I went back to some exchange stitching though..
Oops, I just noticed I'm not done! Haha. Those corners at the top have white stitching
with the red. I might leave it as is since it doesn't look bad without. It's a
pincushion and it was supposed to have more rows at the bottom but I
decided to stop there. Didn't want it too big. Isn't it cute? Scissors, buttons, a
needle and spool. I had to satin stitch the spool.

I thought I would show some of my exchange gifts that I've received
throughout the years..
Mostly Halloween! The two pincushions in opposite corners and
Merry Yule are from the Dixiesamplar's exchange where we just exchange
a handmade item with a card. The blue gray Halloween pillow right
above was from an exchange hosted by Lainey from Scotland who
used to blog. The remaining Halloween gifts are with Dixiesamplar
also, four years worth.

My WIP parade begins! Here are two of my oldest WIPs, both on aida..
There's a story behind this one. To make a long story short, I tracked
down another kit on eBay after losing the floss and graph. I'm pretty sure
I started this more than 10 years ago, maybe longer. There was my divorce
and my father's death to muddy up my memories. Anyway, the kit
I bought had slightly different floss, like someone kitted it up
with colors as close as they could! I did a better job of matching
floss with the colors on the piece.

Next up..
Newsflash! I have misplaced the project! I have all the floss but
missing the most important piece! I have half of the dress in that bottom
picture stitched. Lots of back stitch. I started this one a long time ago too.
I don't mention it too much but I'm an American Indian and this pattern
I just had to stitch!

I think that's it. The WIP parade will continue! What am I stitching next?
I'll look into my SAL bag and start an ornament maybe. I'm not quite
ready to jump the boat on my SAL just yet.

Take care! Welcome to some recent new followers also. I hope you
enjoy it here. Enjoy the football game and/or the commercials. I was invited to a party
at my daughter's but I can't sit there and stitch while watching the game!
