Busy

Hello all! Hope you're all well and stitching up a storm like me!

I have 5 finishes and February isn't even done yet! We're getting there. I'll be showing my finishes, my Stitch from Stash numbers, and a new start. So pull up a chair and stay awhile.

First up though I want to thank everyone who stopped by for the Stitching Sweetheart blog post. I mean, you had to anyway, right?! As many of you know Kaye/Kitten Stitcher was the stitcher of the cute piece with the red truck. I found my creation at the blog called Le Coeur Celtique. I believe that means The Celtic Heart. I ran out of time to FFO a piece that was meant to be in the blog hop, so I used the older piece. It was Valentine you're as cute as a button by Needle Bling Designs, unfortunately I deleted my picture of it. You'll see the newer piece in my Finishes.

I read comments always and loved Mouse's comment about her and her hubby using the same card for Valentine's Day and celebrating 34 years together this year. Very nice!

I joined Stitch From Stash 2017-2022 last month. My beginning balance was $20. I hadn't bought anything (yay) but did have a finish which was worth $8, which added to the beginning balance, is now $28. February is very different! Voila! Here are 5 finishes..

#1-Bewitched Sampler by Willow Hill Samplings. It's on a Dixiesamplar fabric, 36ct. I had to substitute some overdyes for DMC.

Next are...
2, 3, 4, and 5! Love is by JBW Designs. It was supposed to be for the blog hop but I ran out of time to FFO it! I'll make it into a pillow/pinkeep. Middle row on the left is Regalo de Navidad (Gift of Christmas) by Raquel Blasco. Finally! I have had this freebie for years, like 6. It's very cute. Middle row on right is one of the Merry ChristMoose by Prairie Grove Peddler. There are 3 more of the moose to stitch. I'm treating each one as an individual finish. Last but not least is A Slice of Blarney, freebie by Erica Michaels. I'm trying to stitch some seasonal things and need to FFO it and another St Patrick's Day finish.

Except for the Halloween piece, all are bday SAL starts. If the fabric used on the last 4 looks the same, it is. It's 28ct linen in an off-white color. On Stash Unload I bought a Ziploc bag of mystery linen, in all colors, and they turned out to be 28ct.

Next up is progress on Town of Halloween..
It's not a lot but I did stitch the witch's head underneath the one branch! It's a perfect witch head and I can see some ornaments with just the head stitched.

Now onto my big purchase but I had to have it, lol..
Winter Posey by Jeannette Douglas. And true to form, it came with Tudor silks which are unidentified but were easy to match with symbols because there are just 7 strands. It's the 12 strand divisable silk and I'm finding out we don't get along. The strands are getting fuzzy after stitching for a bit. I don't remember Belle Soie or NPS silks doing that. I thought I was getting just the chart but it was a kit. I bought it from Hobby House. Then I absolutely had to buy the pincushion and the jabco buttons but the buttons are on backorder. I have wanted that chart and the pincushion for so long and finally was able to. The linen came with and it's 40ct flax. I'm enjoying stitching on it. It will put my Stitch from Stash in the red but my finishes may even it out. We'll see!

When January ended I put together a list of 4 long-time WIPs and I intended on stitching on them for this entire month. As you can see, that did not happen! For March, I'll get back on the wagon, the 4 WIPs wagon. My next post, I'll show those 4 WIPs.

Okey doke, I believe that's it. I'm on a 3 day weekend because of President's Day on Monday. I would like to get some finishes FFOd but I also need to get some cleaning going here. Get my craft room/bedroom organized. Wish me well on that! Tomorrow is my daughter's 27th birthday. I sure don't know where the time has gone but she's turned into a responsible, kind person that I like to hang out with when our work schedules align.

Take care, y'all! Stay healthy, and stay safe!

Secret Stitching Sweetheart Blog Hop 2022

Hi all! Happy Valentines Day! Welcome to my post for the Sweetheart blog hop that Jo tirelessly hosts every year. Here is my Valentine....

Is that cute or what?! A red truck always livens things up, as my daughter would say!

The piece that I stitched is off floating around in blogland and I'm off to look for it.

Those of you who aren't married or dating, like myself, I hope you'll go out today and buy yourself a chocolate heart and/or flowers. I do that every single year. Or better yet, buy some stash! We all have to love ourselves, right?

Here's a link to Jo's post today to see the list of blogs taking part in today's blog hop-
