What else is new, right?! I'm a stitcher! Couple weeks ago, my daughter suggested we start beading. I'm talking about American Indian beaded items. I've made beaded hat bands, and small pouches before, many moons ago. I took a picture of one bedroom wall that is almost covered in hanging stitched ornaments and sent it to her. I just don't have room in my life for another craft! Right now, it's all about the stitching!
How are you all doing? As I listen to my umpteenth replay of Downton Abby in the background, I have Maynia stitching to show and a few FFOs to show along with two new charts I bought. Instead of showing all of my Maynia projects, I thought I would show what I've stitched up to today. Onward!
On May 1, I started the Witchy Kitty..

On May 1, I started the Witchy Kitty..
I have stitched all the black parts in that cute ornament.
On the 2nd, I picked A Merry Hart by PSS and just filled in the empty areas
of the house. Not much to show so no pic but I know I'll pick it back up.
On the 3rd, I decided to start Land That I Love, a freebie by Erica Michaels..
And it's finished. Tiny little thing. I took a Mill Hill star button but I used a JABCo
star button instead and used Kreinik for sun rays.
For today is Feliz Navidad, doing double duty for Maynia and a Cinco de Mayo SAL
project..
I am finding that it's hard to stitch on sparkly fabric but I'll power through.
This is from a JCS Christmas ornie preview magazine. It's been a WIP for at
least 4 years.
I also FFO'd a few things..
My wool appliqué of Carl. I named him Carl. I had just enough plaid fabric for the front.
For the back fabric though I chose the autumn leaves fabric..
Not very plaid-y or prim but it's okay. I just need to buy more fiberloft to stuff it. I
added the x stitches along the inside border.
Next up is this La D Da finish from last year maybe?
I'm seeing a red splotch in the middle that isn't there in real life. I don't stuff long
finishes very well but I still like it.
What's next for Maynia? These two..
I want Frosty Forest finished this year so I'll take 2 days to stitch.
And...
Beau Leggy In The Desert from Ink Circles. Not much more to go on him.
That is that! I'll be back next week or the next. I'm having fun with all this
stitching for Maynia. I think when June arrives I'll have 2 WIP finishes, Beau
right above and the Merry Hart/PSS. At any rate, it's now public so I have to finish them!
See you next time!
Oops, forgot about stash! Just two LHN ornaments..
Adios!
