Keep that pelvis far from me!
Quick! What movie was that line in?!
But seriously, I forgot to tell you in the last post that Elvis spoke to me while we were in Vegas. I'm serious! I'm not delusional! In our walks at the Venetian trying to find places, we happened to run into an Elvis impersonator! As he passed by us, he said to me "how ya doin' darlin'". Eek! I smiled the rest of the day over that!
I picked up another WIP that was a Crazy start in January. Here's The Journey..
Designer is LHN. And how it looked almost a year ago...
I'm enjoying this one. My plan is to stitch on each WIP until they are DONE! We'll see how far that goes, lol.
As I do about this time of year, here is my reading for 2016..
I'm sure I'll be adding to this pile throughout 2016. My Shelfari account says I read 22 books in 2015. Wow, I didn't think I read that much since I stitched a lot!
I counted up my finishes and the total came to 25 with 15 of those DUCJ/FSAL2015 finishes and 10 non-Crazy finishes. And most of them are waiting to be finish finished or framed.
Thanks for hangin' with me!

Happy New Year. I have that same chart, maybe I will finally get to it.
ReplyDeleteDo it Gracie! Enjoy the day today!
DeleteI'm not sure what movie that's from, but it's funny!
ReplyDeleteGood luck finishing your WIPS.
Wishing you a healthy, happy New Year!
Marilyn
It's Grease, Marilyn. I need all the luck finishing my WIPs! Thanks!
DeleteNice progress Shelly.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year,
Linda
Thanks Linda. Watching you Crazy stitchers, have fun!
DeleteLove that movie - and especially that song! I'm with you on the WIP stitching. I wonder how long we'll last?!

DeleteI remember where I was and how old I was when I watched Grease when it came out. I can still watch it too, at least twice a year :) I haven't been in a stashing mood lately and that's been good!
DeleteLovely update! Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteThank you! Just saw your cube finish, beyond adorable!
DeleteHappy New Year!
ReplyDeleteSame to you, HB!
DeleteI have 3 words for you -books on tape! I love love love listening to books and stitching. Or driving! We listened to Game of Thrones -takes months it was awesome. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteAs far as books on tape go, I'm afraid I'm stuck in the late 19th century! I have a few books on my iPad but after dropping my iPad on my face after drowsing off, I prefer a book in my hand!
DeleteGrease! Lol great movie. Looks like you had a great year! Great stitching and good luck on your goals. Happy new year!
ReplyDeleteI bet you read the Elvis words in the way it was sung, too! Lol. I do every time I look at it!

ReplyDeleteI loved Discovery of witches - I hope you enjoy it. It's hard sometimes for me to decide do I want to stitch or read. Thank you for sharing your reading goals as well as your stitching
ReplyDeleteHave you read the other three books in the trilogy? Wish it could have gone on and on. I'm the same, undecided about what to stitch or read!
DeleteHa-ha!! Love that Elvis quote :) I've never seen that chart, Shelly so I look forward to watching your progress... Great job with both the stitching and reading in 2015--on to 2016! Hope it's a happy, healthy year for you and your family :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Carol! Hope the new year is much better for you and your family. There's a nice story behind this chart told by the designer that has to do with her husbands cancer treatment.
DeleteStitching on your WIPs until they are done - a good plan indeed. Let's hope that that there aren't too many new things that attract your attention so that you add to your number of WIPs instead, lol.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year and enjoy your stitching.
It's a good concept if I stick with it! We shall see..Happy New Year to you!
DeleteHappy New Year!
ReplyDeleteI love the Elvis story.
Beautiful stitching!
Thanks Chris! Happy New Year to you.
DeleteGood luck with the finishes. I think that's great goal. I am pretty much an anal stitcher. I usually stitch one at a time. It's the finishing that gets me!
ReplyDeleteHi Barb. Well, if that's what it's called, I'm joining the Anal Stitchers League! I have a whole bunch of WIPs but only stitching on one until I'm done and then move onto another. Less stressful this way! Hope your back is doing better.
DeleteNice work and good reading list/pile? I read Bones of Paris, let me know what you think. I will say I enjoy her Mary Russell series more. Did you read the first one in the Styvesant series? Touchstone I think it's called?
ReplyDeleteThanks. I got Bones of Paris from the borrow bookshelf at work and it sounded interesting. I've never read this authors stuff so it'll be the first time. I'll have to check out the Styvesant series. Thanks Tiffany!
DeleteI see we have the same plans for 2016 :) I also want to finish all my WIPs and I have a book list to read this year. Good luck with your plans. Lovely stitching! Happy New Year!
