2nd Blogaversary coming up!

Helloooooo!

I wanted to get on here and announce my 2nd Blogaversary coming up on the 21st I believe. I did this last year too, not exactly sure when I first started this blog. But it's been fun and I've enjoyed reading all your comments and checking out your blogs!

So I'm having a Giveaway! Yay! A Grand Prize and a Sorry-You-Didn't-Win-The-Grand-Prize! prize! Just leave a comment here on this post and let me know what kind of candy/chocolate you like. I will ship the prizes to wherever you're at! Be a follower or not. The followers I have now who comment, as of this post. will be given an additional chance to win (gotta take care of the followers we already have, right?!)  Be sure to leave your comment between now and 6:59 p.m. Arizona time December 21st. At 7 p.m. I'll draw names for the Grand Prize who'll also receive this one remaining jar of Prickly Pear Jelly. The winners' name of the Grand Prize will be removed from the drawing for the Consolation prize. In other words, no one can win both prizes!

This ought to be fun! So far, here's what I have for both prizes. It's not all here as I'm awaiting delivery of more stuff and if you've ordered anything lately, you'll know it's taking forever! I haven't decided what will go with what. So far I know the Santa sniff tissues will go into each prize and one pattern/fabric per prize. The patterns are: Bringing Home the Tree by Pineberry Lane (love them, getting fabric for it) and Holiday House by LHN w/fabric. Also trims, note cards from Homespun Elegance, Stitch Happy travel cup, the needle minder, Bohin needles, and some surprises too! Check it out....

Let the comments begin!

As far as stitching...What stitching?!! I've worked on the Val's Stuff Santa a little. My car broke down for a week, the starter went out. My daughter and I had to scramble for transportation to school and work. Thank God for friends though. My daughter was able to borrow a car from a friend, and some mornings I rode in with a co-worker. So this latest Crisis had me a little blue and no stitching. Said car is now fixed and things are smoothing out.

I'm just now hearing of the Connecticut elementary school shooting and I'm just broken-hearted about it. 18 to 20 kids possibly dead. I feel like just crying right now. There are no words....Whatever problems I may have pale in comparison to what families and friends of the victims are going through over there. Prayers and thoughts are winging their way to Connecticut right now. And during the Christmas season too... :..(

Take care, hug your loved ones a little tighter!

  1. Isn't that shooting unbelieveable? My heart aches for all the people involved. So senseless. My daughter just had a lockdow at her school yesterday for suspected weapons. It gets so that you don't want to let your children out of your sight.

Your giveaway is great and I'd love to be entered. It's really hard picking out my favorite chocolate/candy though. Maybe Heath Bars would be my favorite - I love toffee and chocolate.

    Congratulations on your second Blogoversary!!!!

  2. When my kids were little I always thought they were safe when they were at school. Sadly we've learned that isn't true. My heart is breaking for the families.

My favorite chocolate is dark, favorite candy is Snickers, love Starbucks hot chocolate, and I grew up in southern Arizona (had to sneak that in - LOL.

  13. Happy Blogoversary, Shelly! I would absolutely be thrilled to enter your giveaway...that Prickly Pear jam sounds very interesting :) My favorite kind of chocolate is milk chocolate with nuts or peanut butter. I know dark chocolate is healthier, but for me, it's all about the taste...

  14. Congratulations on your blogoversary! What a wonderful and generous giveaway, something positive and cheerful in light of what those poor families are dealing with in Connecticut. Asking what my favorite candy is is like asking which is my favorite child, but if I had to pin it down, I would say rocky road bars. Marshmallow and walnuts covered in milk chocolate. When pressed, however, I will eat anything covered with milk chocolate!
